Good Times Only

Prague-based band Good Times Only (GTO) is preparing their third full-length album for the first half of 2026. Unlike their previous records "Pěkný chvíle" (2020) and "Teď na to myslim" (2023), this time they've chosen a path of creative and studio freedom without producer assistance - new songs are being created in their own studio at their home rehearsal space and with occasional visits to the friendly Space Tape studio. While they collaborated with Jakub Kaifosz (Lazer Viking, Wild Tides) on the first two albums, they now only occasionally consult with Nikola Šolaja (Kvietah, Atomy Nevadí), who serves as mixing engineer on the album. The pilot single GTFO from October 2025 was created in collaboration with producer fiedlerskim (Mirai, Ben Cristovao, Marcell).

GTO's sound has transformed on the new album: there are more distorted guitars, rock influences, and overall abrasiveness - working references included bands like Deftones. Alongside piercing guitars, you'll hear synth textures, dirty breakbeats, and quirky piano. The songwriting is more straightforward than before, and the Czech lyrics range from love songs and reflections on crumbling relationships through confessions about inner insecurities and toxic behavioral patterns to fears about the future or experiences with therapy. For the first time in their discography, GTO are also promising features with other musicians.
