Frequency

"Frequency" is a solo performance by Alžběta Tichá at the intersection of contemporary circus, aerial acrobatics, and live technology. The piece explores the relationship between body, mind, and emotion - asking what truly happens inside a person in moments when outwardly almost nothing is visible, and in moments when emotions and physical reactions surge with full force.

During the performance, Alžběta Tichá wears sensors that monitor her bodily functions in real time. Data from her body is instantly translated into the sound and light components of the piece - the scenography becomes not a pre-programmed framework, but a living system responding to the performer's current state. Each performance is thus created anew directly before the audience's eyes.

The performance does not tell a story in the classical sense. It draws from the artist's personal experience with physical and emotional extremes, transforming an intimate subject into a raw, visual, and at times hypnotic form.
