NdB 3 / Masters: Along the Overgrown Path, Dinner

NdB 3 Ballet is a platform for mature-age dancers. The concept draws from the philosophy of three dimensions of artistic career, which world choreographer Jiří Kylián established at Nederlands Dans Theater nearly fifty years ago. The project premiered at EXPO 2025 in collaboration with the Brno Philharmonic and pianist Ivo Kahánek.

The evening presents two choreographies. In the first, "Along the Overgrown Path", Mário Radačovský transforms Janáček's music into stories about the passage of time and the fragility of the present moment - seven dancers embody small moments in which the present can suddenly transform into eternity. The second choreography, "Dinner", follows a man and woman preparing a formal dinner: an unexpected message disrupts their apparent calm, and both must maintain an appearance of normality before their arriving guests. The choreography was created to music by Bohuslav Martinů and Vít Gregor.

The NdB 3 project features soloists connected with the National Theatres in Prague, Bratislava and Brno: Nikola Márová, Klaudia Radačovská, Ivona Jeličová, Petr Hos, Andrej Szabo, Martin Svobodník, Ilia Mironov and Nashuu Mironova.
