ME-SA: Second Practice

A solo performance emerging from the personal situation of Martina Hajdyla Lacová - a dancer, woman, and mother of three young children. Her nearly forty-year-old body carries many public and private stories, and the solo "Second Practice" draws from thirty years of dance practice and embodied dance memories. The space created becomes one of returning to awareness of her own dance and bodily history, of listening to herself in movement, and of pleasure in motion.

The performance touches on a broader context: in today's reality, responsibility for care still falls predominantly on women, while we are all exposed to an endless stream of information and many live in a state of chronic fatigue. In such an environment, simple pausing and listening to one's own body can become a political act. The personal is political. Martina Hajdyla Lacová's solo, created in collaboration with choreographer Renata Piotrowska-Auffret, opens not only a personal story but also a wider picture of what contemporary society lacks or questions.
