We live in a time full of tension and division. Yet is there something we all carry within us? Movement - natural, human. We wait at a bus stop or at the doctor's office and shift our weight from one foot to the other. Here, there - and suddenly rhythm appears, dance. Something so human... so folk?

What the Folk explores how dance emerges and connects us. How the simplest steps and our natural need to move gradually become something richer and bolder. What could our folk dance look like today - folk, modern, contemporary, or simply human? Perhaps all its forms are closer to each other than we think.
