I D E N T I T Y - Jindra Rychlá and collaborators (Fifth performance)
A dance performance exploring how human identity forms internally and externally throughout life. Two figures stand at the center: one who has found their identity and is internally anchored, the other still searching, uncertain, and transforming. The work examines how a strong personality can influence, inspire, and suppress another - investigating dynamics of power, manipulation, support, and mutual learning.
Costume functions not merely as aesthetic decoration but as an active expressive medium that evolves alongside both performers. Choreography was created by and features Hana Gallinová; Klára Uhlířová dances the second role. Jindra Rychlá conceived the project and developed its visual language. The work is supported by the Czech Film Fund. The first performance of I D E N T I T Y took place at Industra on June 21, 2025.
Jindra Rychlá (concept and visual design) - creates costumes for dance and movement performances, collaborating with dance companies and choreographers worldwide (ProART company, Kaori Ito, Martin Vraný, David Strnad, Hana Zanin, and others). Since 2020, she has developed her own movement-art projects exploring the expressive and visual possibilities of costume.
