Yaka Huni Kuin

About

Yaka Huni Kuin is an indigenous visual artist from the Huni Kuin people of Amazonia, from the village of Chico Curumim. He is a member of the MAHKU collective, whose works are held in the collections of MASP, MAM São Paulo, and Fondation Cartier in Paris. In 2024, MAHKU created a monumental mural on the main pavilion facade at the 60th Venice Biennale. His art draws on the traditional visual language of Kene.
