Václav Wortner (born 22 September 1984) is a Czech actor, improv performer and psychologist who holds a Ph.D. from DAMU, where his dissertation examined acting in the context of facilitation. He studied psychology at Masaryk University and devised acting at DAMU, and is currently training as a biosynthetic psychotherapist. He performs with the improv company My kluci, co spolu chodíme and at Jatka78, teaches improvisation in Prague and at international festivals, and speaks five languages. He is also the author of the autobiographical novel Jmenuji se Václav a zachráním ti život.
In June 2025, Wortner participated in the premiere of the multi-genre performance Má vlast at Jatka78 - a joint project with the Czech Philharmonic, the Forman Brothers Theatre, and DEKKADANCERS.
The film recording of the performance Má vlast was screened on September 28, 2025 in 95 cinemas throughout the Czech Republic.
In October 2025, the premiere of the new production Happy Our by the ensemble My kluci, co spolu chodíme is planned at Jatka78.
In June 2023, the premiere of the performance Ponorka took place at Jatka78, in which Wortner performed.
