Václav Hýsek

About

Václav Hýsek is a retired South Bohemian criminal investigator who spent more than 30 years working homicide cases at the Regional Police Directorate in České Budějovice, eventually heading the unit. After retiring, he co-authored the true crime books Budějovická mordparta and its sequel with journalist Pavel Pechoušek, documenting real murder cases from South Bohemia. He also presents the cases at live public events across the region.
