Budějovická Mordparta 2 opens new cases of modern South Bohemian criminology. The first involves a murder committed by a teacher from České Budějovice, Jiří Toncar — a case that was among the most media-covered crimes, and the search for his missing wife's body required the longest house search in the history of South Bohemian police. The investigation was complicated by the discovery of the body of Roman Horáček, a murdered murderer, whose death remains unsolved.
The second case concerns an attack on České Budějovice taxi driver Jaroslav Kněžíček, committed brutally by two young cousins. Both cases shared an unexpected element: psychics who helped police direct their search in the right direction.
The book brings previously unpublished information, including authentic testimonies from former police officers and an interview with České Budějovice forensic pathologist Zdeněk Šenkýř. The evening will be hosted by former head of the South Bohemian Mordparta Václav Hýsek and forensic pathologist Zdeněk Šenkýř.
