Václav Havelka is a Czech singer-songwriter and composer who has been active since the late 1990s. He is best known as the frontman of indie rock band Please The Trees, with whom he recorded five albums - three of them in the USA - winning both the Anděl and Apollo awards. As a solo artist he performed under the name selFbrush; in 2026 he released the album A Snake Crawling Up a Broken Ladder. He is also active in environmental causes and writes music for theatre and film.
