Tyč on the Beach is a contemporary circus show by Czech acrobats Pavlína Podzimková and Tomáš Brt, blending Chinese pole, aerial acrobatics and partnering within a playful beach narrative full of absurdist humour. Both performers are members of the renowned Czech ensemble Cirk La Putyka - Podzimková specialises in aerial straps and aerial silk, while Brt came to circus from rock climbing and is one of the few Czech artists working on Chinese pole. The show was developed through a residency at CIRQUEON - Centre for New Circus and premiered on 1 July 2025.
Tyč on the Beach will perform at the 15th edition of the Komedianti v ulicích festival in Tábor (July 31 - August 2, 2026).
The performance was included in the program of the Letní Letná festival in Prague as a free open-air production.
Tyč on the Beach was included in the New Circus Showcase for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which the New Circus Association initiated in 2025.
The performance opened the summer tour with a performance at the Za Dveřmi festival in Holešovická Tržnice in Prague (July 13, 2025).
Tyč on the Beach had its world premiere on July 1, 2025 at Adršpach Castle as part of the CIRQUEONu residency program.
