Kyšperský-Pilgr-Doubrava-Nikl: Chunta live at Alterna

Four musicians spent four days in a cottage in the Vysočina region without prepared songs or plans, but with a heap of instruments and curiosity about what would happen. The result is Chunta, an album created as spontaneously as its name. Martin Kyšperský and Aleš Pilgr (Květy), Marek Doubrava (Hm…) and artist, musician and performer Petr Nikl assembled a collection of songs balancing between singer-songwriter tradition, playfulness, poetry and unexpected musical detours.

At concerts, the band is joined by Ondřej Kyas - musician, composer and longtime member of Květy. On stage, energy flows between several singing frontmen: voices alternate, interweave and surprisingly blend together, so the concert doesn't rest on one dominant personality but on mutual dialogue.

On Thursday, November 12, Chunta brings its repertoire to Brno's Alterna.

Elka

Young post-folk singer Elka (Lenka Konkoľová) released her debut album Jedeme domů last year, in which her feelings, experiences and attitudes towards themes that accompany her through life intertwine. The songs carry depth and sometimes a touch of sadness, but all point towards a positive message. Lenka's sense of humour complements the sensitive music, and Martin Kyšperský accompanies her on guitar.
