American post-rock band This Will Destroy You brings their hypnotic instrumental sound to Brno's Kabinet Múz.
This Will Destroy You is an American post-rock band formed in 2005 in San Marcos, Texas, by guitarists Chris King and Jeremy Galindo. From the start they committed to purely instrumental music - layered, effects-heavy guitars moving between hushed ambience and crushing crescendos. Their self-titled 2008 album and the debut EP Young Mountain brought them international recognition, and their track 'The Mighty Rio Grande' has appeared in films including Moneyball, Room, and World War Z.
The band launched its European tour 2026, on which it plays the albums Young Mountain and Another Language in full - the London Scala was sold out.
As part of the world tour for the 20th anniversary, the band performed five Australian concerts, on which it played the debut album This Will Destroy You in full.
The band announced a North American tour for the 20th anniversary with dates from June to July 2025, including stops in Dallas, Chicago, New York and other cities.
The band released its fifth studio album New Others Part Two just three weeks after the release of New Others Part One, surprising fans with an unexpected double release.
The band composed and recorded the music Vespertine as a soundtrack for Michelin-starred restaurant Jordana Kahna of the same name.
