About

Grails are an American instrumental rock band from Portland, Oregon, active since 1999. Their sound moves freely between post-rock, psychedelia, krautrock and cinematic textures - genre labels never quite stick. Core members Alex Hall and Emil Amos also record together as Lilacs & Champagne. Over a quarter-century they have released nine studio albums, most recently Miracle Music in May 2025.
