About

And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA) are a Northern Irish instrumental rock band from Belfast, active since 2005. The four-piece - guitarists Rory Friers and Niall Kennedy, bassist Ewen Friers and drummer Chris Wee - work at the intersection of post-rock, math rock and experimental hardcore. Their 2009 self-titled debut is regarded as a landmark of the genre, while Gangs (2011) broke into the Irish Top 30; by 2025 they had released seven studio albums and built a devoted following across Europe, North America and beyond.
