And So I Watch You From Afar (ASIWYFA) are a Northern Irish instrumental rock band from Belfast, active since 2005. The four-piece - guitarists Rory Friers and Niall Kennedy, bassist Ewen Friers and drummer Chris Wee - work at the intersection of post-rock, math rock and experimental hardcore. Their 2009 self-titled debut is regarded as a landmark of the genre, while Gangs (2011) broke into the Irish Top 30; by 2025 they had released seven studio albums and built a devoted following across Europe, North America and beyond.
The band released a live album 'Live at the Fleece', recorded in Bristol.
ASIWYFA undertook a joint tour with Caspian to celebrate the 20th anniversary of both bands, with dates from Houston to Atlanta.
A jubilee deluxe edition of the album Gangs was released on double LP vinyl for the 10th anniversary of the album.
They released the seventh studio album Megafauna (August 9, 2024) on the Velocity label; the album received a rating of 8/10 in Hot Press and Clash.
The band announced a North American tour with Caspian, with tickets going on sale on February 9, 2024.
