About

The Flaming Lips are an American psychedelic rock band from Oklahoma, active since 1983. They broke through to wider audiences with The Soft Bulletin (1999) and the Grammy-winning Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (2002). Frontman Wayne Coyne - the sole remaining founding member - is the driving force behind their famously theatrical live shows, complete with confetti cannons, giant balloons and video projections. Across 17 albums they have carved out a singular place in alternative rock.
