Soňa Boštíková is a Czech high-altitude mountaineer who has held a women's altitude record for over 27 years. She has completed expeditions to the seven highest peaks in the world and spent a decade on major Himalayan climbs. Alongside mountaineering, she lectures about life in the so-called death zone and the personal cost of extreme expeditions.
