About

Rocc (born Rok Rappl) is a Slovenian opera director and set designer. He studied opera direction at JAMU in Brno, then pursued postgraduate work in scenography in Zurich and Offenbach am Main. He has created over 60 opera productions at national theatres in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Ljubljana, Riga, Bergen and elsewhere. He is the founder of the "postopera.forma" concept, focused on post-dramatic music-theatre aesthetics. In 2011 he directed the world premiere of La Dafne by Hanzlík and Zouhar at the National Theatre Brno.
