Robert Kružík

Robert Kružík is a Czech conductor from Brno, belonging to the youngest generation of Czech conductors. He began as a cellist and studied at the Brno Conservatory and the Prague Academy of Music. He serves as chief conductor of the Janáček Opera of the National Theatre Brno and the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Zlín, and as permanent guest conductor of the Brno Philharmonic. From 2028 he will become music director of the National Theatre Prague. He is a laureate of the Jiří Bělohlávek Award and the Sir Charles Mackerras Prize.
