Štěpán Rak 80 - with the Moravian Piano Trio
KD Rubín, Brno
A celebratory recital by the guitar virtuoso Štěpán Rak. Known primarily as a guitarist, composer, and improviser, Rak will showcase all these artistic dimensions during the concert. His signature "Rak tremolo" technique - playing with all five fingers of the right hand simultaneously on one or multiple strings - has become a defining concept in the guitar world. In 1982, Rak founded the guitar department at Prague's Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU), where he now focuses mainly on teaching improvisation. You will experience this mastery throughout the entire performance. Professor Rak's lifelong mission has been to present the guitar not only as a solo instrument but as an orchestra in itself. Following the concert, all guests are invited to share wine with the artists. Programme subject to change.
