Moravia Brass Band: West Side Story

Moravia Brass Band — the largest brass orchestra in the Czech Republic and resident ensemble of the Brno Brass Fest — presents an evening dedicated to American music of the 20th century. At Biskupský dvůr, audiences will hear a selection of works inspired by jazz, film, and American folklore in original arrangements for brass orchestra.

The centrepiece of the programme is a suite from Leonard Bernstein's musical West Side Story, blending Latin American rhythms, classical orchestration, and Broadway drama. The concert will be complemented by scenic dance. Conducted by Robert Kružík, with introductory remarks by Jiří Kokmotos.
