About

Queenways is a Czech Queen tribute band fronted by singer Jaroslav Břeský, who has been devoted to Queen's music since the age of four and has studied the craft under Peter Freestone - Freddie Mercury's longtime personal assistant - since 2009. Freestone has stated that Břeský possesses the closest natural vocal timbre to Freddie Mercury he has ever heard. In 2016 Jaroslav performed at the official event marking Mercury's 70th birthday in Montreux, where guitarist Brian May shared his performance on social media. In 2021 Mercury's relatives granted Jaroslav permission to use the surname Bulsara as a tribute to his legacy.
