Nuummite is an instrumental trio from Prague working at the intersection of post-rock, black metal and shoegaze. Founded in 2019 by three musicians who came up through the death/black metal band Errantes, the group deliberately foregoes vocals, leaving room for the listener's own interpretation. Their debut album Celestial Triarchy (2021) was released on the British label Trepanation Recordings; the band cites the films of Andrei Tarkovsky and Ingmar Bergman among their key inspirations.
Nuummite released the single Insomnia (November 25, 2023), their sixth project on Bandcamp.
In 2022, the band released two new singles, the first of which was called Doublethink.
The debut album Celestial Triarchy was released on September 1, 2021 in collaboration with British Trepanation Recordings, Slovak Salto Mortale Music, and Czech Noise Mafia.
