About

Škwor (stylized ŠkWor) is a Czech rock and heavy metal band from Prague, formed in 1998 under the name Skwar. The lineup consists of frontman Petr Hrdlička, bassist Tomáš Kmec, drummer Martin Pelc, and guitarist Jan Chudan. Over more than 25 years the band has released twelve studio albums and established itself as one of the most popular domestic rock acts - their breakthrough record Vyvolenej (2004) went gold with over 10,000 copies sold.

  • 2026-01

    Škwor launched in January 2026 his historic first Czech-Slovak tour Blíž k vám Tour 2026, which includes fourteen to fifteen stops in smaller club venues.

  • 2025-10

    The band received a platinum record from Supraphonu for the anniversary live album 25 лет (live), recorded in October 2023 at Prague's O2 universum.

  • 2025-05

    From May to September 2025, Škwor performed twenty open-air concerts as part of the touring festival Rockin.cz 2025, accompanied by the bands Olympic, Arakain, and Walda Gang.

  • 2024-12

    In December 2024, Škwor concluded the tour Sobě věrnej with three sold-out concerts at Prague's O2 universum (December 20, 21, and 22).

  • 2024-05

    For the twentieth anniversary of the album Vyvolenej, the band released in May 2024 a limited numbered reissue on 180g vinyl with reconstructed artwork and new mastering from SONO studio.
