Znojmo, City Above Water I. – Moravia Brass Band
Moravia Brass Band performs a concert on the water in Mašovický lom quarry. The programme celebrates Znojmo's anniversary and its historic bond with the Dyje River.
Moravia Brass Band is the largest brass ensemble in the Czech Republic, founded in Brno in July 2017. Thirty professional brass and percussion players perform under chief conductor Chuhei Iwasaki; most members trained at the P. J. Vejvanovský Conservatory in Kroměříž and hold positions in leading Czech orchestras. The ensemble serves as the resident orchestra of Brno Brass Fest and premieres new works each season - house composer Ondřej Moťka writes original pieces directly for the band. It has performed at Prague's Rudolfinum, the Prague Spring festival, and international festivals in France and Germany.
