Miles Davis was an American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader, one of the most influential figures in 20th-century music. He was central to the development of cool jazz, hard bop, and jazz fusion, recording landmark albums such as Kind of Blue (1959) and Bitches Brew (1970). He collaborated with many key jazz musicians, including drummer Billy Cobham.
