Michal Gálik

Michal Gálik is a Slovak documentary filmmaker based in Prague, with a background in zoology from Charles University. His debut film Zelená poušť (Green Desert), shot in Borneo in 2011, drew attention to the destruction of rainforests by palm oil plantations and won awards at several festivals. Since then he has made documentaries on ecological and nature themes, filming in locations ranging from Cameroon and Congo to Mongolia.
