MDŽ - Muzikantky, dámy, ženy (Musicians, Ladies, Women) is a Czech folk group founded in 2013 by Lucie Redlová, Beata Bocek and violinist Jitka Šuranská. After Šuranská's death in autumn 2019, the project was revived in 2023 with violinist Eva Ludvík Kudrnová joining Redlová and Bocek. The trio's repertoire blends original songs in Czech, Polish, English and French with folk music from the Moravian regions of Valašsko, Slezsko and Slovácko, with the three singers collectively playing eight instruments. The group performs at leading Czech folk festivals including Colours of Ostrava and Prázdniny v Telči.
MDŽ performed at the 36th edition of Valašské folkrockování in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm (August 16, 2025) alongside Jaroslav Uhlíř and the band No Name.
The band performed at the Prázdniny v Telči festival (August 9, 2025) as the opening act for Vlasta Redl on the castle grounds.
Since 2025, MDŽ performs in a three-member lineup - Lucie Redlová, Beata Bocek, and Eva Ludvík Kudrnová.
MDŽ performed in December 2024 at Studio 1 of Czech Radio Ostrava as part of the fourth edition of the Malá Ostrava cycle; a recording of 11 songs was released online.
In spring 2023, the MDŽ project resumed in a new lineup with Eva Ludvík Kudrnová and Alžběta Jamborová and completed a three-day tour of Zlín, Valašské Meziříčí, and Ostrava.
