MAHKU

About

MAHKU (Movimento dos Artistas Huni Kuin) is a Brazilian indigenous art collective formed by artists from the Huni Kuin people of the Amazon. Their work is rooted in the traditional visual language of Kene and the sacred songs Huni Meka. Works by MAHKU are held in the collections of MASP and MAM in São Paulo and the Fondation Cartier in Paris. In 2024, they created a monumental mural at the 60th Venice Biennale.
