Libor Dvořák (born 6 June 1948, Cheb) is a Czech journalist, commentator at Český rozhlas Plus and translator from Russian. He spent part of his childhood in Moscow, where his father served as Czechoslovak ambassador, and later studied Russian philology at Charles University. Since 2005 he has been on the ČRo Plus editorial team, hosting the programme Den podle... and providing regular commentary on Russia and the post-Soviet space in Názory a argumenty. Alongside his journalism he has translated Russian fiction since the 1970s - from the Strugatsky brothers and Bulgakov to Dostoevsky, Tolstoy and Sorokin; he received the Josef Jungmann Prize for his translation of Bunin's Cursed Days and, together with his brother Milan, the Rudolf Medek Prize in 2012.
