Josef Sudek and Friends – Journey to the North
An exhibition exploring photographer Josef Sudek's creative dialogue with fellow artists and their shared fascination with the landscapes of northern Bohemia during the mid-20th century.
Josef Sudek (1896–1976) was a Czech photographer known as the "Poet of Prague." After losing his right arm in World War I, he turned fully to photography and co-founded the avant-garde Czech Photographic Society with Jaromír Funke. He is celebrated for his poetic black-and-white images of Prague, intimate still lifes, and the iconic Window of My Atelier series. His work is held in major collections worldwide, including the Met and the V&A.
