Guitarist and composer Jan Hnízdil returns to the Oáza Jenišov Amphitheatre for his second performance.
MUDr. Jan Hnízdil (born 14 August 1958, Mnichovo Hradiště) is a Czech internist and rehabilitation physician, one of the pioneers of psychosomatic and holistic medicine in the Czech Republic. He became widely known through popular books such as Mým marodům, Zaříkávač nemocí and Příběhy obyčejného uzdravení, and through public lectures in which he argues that illness reflects a patient's life story and criticises the one-sidedly biological focus of modern medicine. In 2024 he left the Czech Medical Chamber and lost his licence to practise; he now works as a health adviser and continues to lecture across the country.
Hnízdil published a new book "How to Be Healthy in a Sick Society" and continues his lecture activities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Hnízdil joined a collective criminal complaint by a group of doctors and experts regarding the safety of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.
Hnízdil terminated his membership in the Czech Medical Chamber and as of March 1, 2024, ceased to be authorized to practice medicine in the Czech Republic.
The facility "Nest of Health", which Hnízdil founded in 2013, was effectively closed after contractual transfer to a new owner.
At a meeting in the House of Books in Ostrava, Hnízdil presented his new book "How to Be Healthy in a Sick Society".
