Jan Hnízdil — How to Stay Healthy in a Sick Society

Dr. Jan Hnízdil (born 1958) is an internist and rehabilitation physician, author of numerous publications including: My Patients, The Disease Charmer, Stories of Ordinary Healing, How Not to Become a Patient, About Back Pain: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know But Were Afraid to Ask, Everyone Is a Psychopath Except Me Who Am an Airplane, Chronicle of the COVID Era, and others. In 2013 he founded the Nest of Health (Hnízdo zdraví), a centre for integrated psychosomatic medicine, which was hostilely taken over and destroyed in 2024. He is the recipient of the Golden Wandering Boulder award from the Czech Skeptics Club Sisyphus for 2015. In 2024, the Czech Medical Chamber expelled him from its ranks, and he moved to the position of health consultant.
