Fontaines D.C. • Praha
Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. comes to Prague with their new album Dopamine Chamber. The group blends ballads with anthemic rock compositions.
Fontaines D.C. are a Dublin-formed five-piece rock band, active since 2014. Their 2019 debut Dogrel announced them as a major force in post-punk, with frontman Grian Chatten's lyricism rooted in Irish literary tradition. Their fourth album Romance (2024) broke them into a new tier - debuting at No. 2 in the UK, earning two Grammy nominations, and winning International Group of the Year at the 2025 BRIT Awards.
Fontaines D.C. announced their fifth studio album Dopamine Chamber, which will be released on October 16, 2026 on XL Recordings, and released the single 'Marianne'.
The album Romance was nominated for the Mercury Prize 2025 as Album of the Year.
At the 67th Grammy Awards ceremony, the album Romance received nominations in the categories Best Rock Album and Best Alternative Music Performance (single 'Starburster').
Fontaines D.C. won the BRIT Award for Best International Group 2025 - for the second time in their career.
The fourth album Romance debuted at number two on the British charts, and the band entered the American Billboard 200 for the first time.
