Hiqpy is an Amsterdam indie rock quartet - vocalist Abir Hamam, guitarist Victor ter Veld, bassist Tom Radsma and drummer Kasper de Boer. Formed in 2023 from students of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, the band built a devoted following through live shows alone, signing to Sony Music before a single note appeared on streaming platforms. Their debut album Slow Death of a Good Girl, produced by Grammy winner Danton Supple, came out in April 2026, and the band was named Volkskrant Talent of the Year and 3FM Talent of 2025.
Hiqpy released their debut album Slow Death of a Good Girl (12 tracks, 49 minutes) on April 10, 2026 under Sony Music Entertainment Netherlands.
The band performed an album launch show in Utrecht (April 8) and subsequently an exclusive concert at EKKO for the club's 40th anniversary.
Hiqpy will perform as the opening act for De Staat on their tour of Great Britain and Europe in autumn 2026.
In June 2025, the band was included in the Spotify RADAR program for new talents.
At Eurosonic Noorderslag 2025, 3voor12 chose Hiqpy as the best performance of the festival and 3FM named them talent of the year 2025.
