Glen Hansard is an Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as the frontman of Dublin rock band The Frames. He rose to international fame through the film Once (2007), for which he and Markéta Irglová won an Academy Award for the song "Falling Slowly". His music blends folk, rock, and soul.
On April 24, 2026, Hansard released the live album Don't Settle - Transmissions East (Vol. 1), recorded without overdubs at Berlin's Funkhaus; the second part, Transmissions West, will be released later in 2026.
In February 2026, Hansard announced an extensive tour of North America and Europe with 16 stops, which started on March 29 in Los Angeles and continued through Paris, Berlin, Prague to London.
The album Don't Settle was recorded live in front of an audience at Berlin's Funkhaus in April 2025 - without vocal overdubs, second takes, or autotune.
In November 2025, Hansard announced a spring European tour 2026 with 16 concerts, with pre-sales for mailing list members launched on November 5.
In October 2023, he released his fifth solo album All That Was East Is West of Me Now on the Anti- Records label.
