The Swell Season is a musical project by Irish singer-guitarist Glen Hansard and Czech singer-pianist Markéta Irglová. The duo rose to fame through the 2007 film Once, winning an Academy Award for the song "Falling Slowly". Their music blends folk, indie pop, and intimate songwriting.
