Festival Slunovrat 2026

Festival Slunovrat 2026 is the fourteenth edition of a multi-genre cultural festival held from 18–20 June 2026 in the historic centre of Opava. The programme features over one hundred events: music, theatre, new circus, slam poetry, debates, exhibitions, workshops, gastronomic specialities, and children's activities.

The festival takes place in historic interiors and exteriors throughout the city — at Osvoboditelů Square, in the Church of St. Václav (Václav Stage), at the Kofola Welcome Stage (Ptačí vrch and Svobody Gardens, free entry), in the Silesian Regional Museum, Petra Bezruče Library, Church of St. John, Municipal House, House of Art, and this year also in the long-closed Breda department store.

The headline act of the 14th edition is Irish musician Glen Hansard. Other performers include Mňága a Žďorp, Vypsaná fixa, Lenka Dusilová Band, Szidi Tobias & Band, Bratři Orffové, Dorota Barová Trio, Nina Kohout, Bazzookas (NL), Midi Lidi, Divadlo Vosto5, Bad Karma Boy, Circus Ponorka, and dozens more.

Tickets are on sale via GoOut and smsticket. Age discounts are available (children 4–15 and youth 15–18), group discounts (5+1 free, 8+2 free), discounts for ISIC holders and seniors. Holders of a ZTP card receive a 50% discount; ZTP/P companions enter free. Camping in the monastery garden costs 120 CZK per person per night (children under 15 free); advance booking is required. The festival is barrier-free except for some interiors.
