Garage & Tony Ducháček

About

Garage is a Prague rock band founded in 1979 under the name Garáž, long regarded as one of the defining acts of Czech underground music. Singer and lyricist Tony Ducháček joined in 1982, shaping the band's identity with his deadpan delivery and lyrics rooted in suburban slang. Under communism the band was barred from official recording and paid gigs, circulating tapes samizdat-style; after 1989 they toured Western Europe and New York. They have performed under the name Garage & Tony Ducháček since 1993.
