Švihadlo is the oldest Czech reggae band, founded in 1983 in Mladá Boleslav under the name Nouzový východ. Frontman Petr Šturma has been the driving force throughout, crafting reggae with playful Czech lyrics. The band won the Anděl award in the ska & reggae category for the album „Oči otevřený", and tracks like „Zelený list" and „Na Jamajce půl srdce mám" are staples of the Czech reggae scene. Their new album „Něco se láme" comes out in 2026.
