Filip Zahradnický

About

Filip Zahradnický is a Czech new-circus performer and juggler who trained at Prague's CIRQUEON centre and completed his degree at The Academy of Modern Circus in Copenhagen in 2018 - making him part of the first Czech generation to graduate in new circus at bachelor level. In 2020 he became the first Czech artist to compete at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris, winning two prizes: the Special Price Académie Fratellini and the jury's special award. He works with Cirk La Putyka and the Swedish company Kompani Giraff, and his solo show Collection of Sceptical Pleasures centres on object manipulation and movement.

    For his performance in the production Thin Skin (together with Eliška Brtnická) Zahradnický received the Divadelních novin Award.
