David Macháč

About

David Macháč is a photographer from Opava, a graduate of the Institute of Creative Photography at Silesian University, where he also works. Alongside commercial work, he has spent years on a documentary project called Zahrádkáři (Allotment Gardeners) - since 2006 he has been photographing allotment colonies in the Czech Republic and abroad. The project earned a Czech Press Photo nomination in 2017 and second place at the Polish Śląska fotografia prasowa competition in 2018.
