Children of Bodom was a Finnish metal band formed in Espoo in 1993. Their sound blends melodic death metal with power metal and neoclassical influences, known for fast tempos, heavy riffs, and virtuosic guitar and keyboard solos. Albums such as Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper brought them international recognition before the band disbanded in 2019.
