About

Arch Enemy are a Swedish melodic death metal band founded in Halmstad in 1996 by guitarist Michael Amott, a veteran of Carcass and Carnage. Over three decades they have released twelve studio albums and cycled through four vocalists - Johan Liiva, Angela Gossow, Alissa White-Gluz, and, since February 2026, Lauren Hart (ex-Once Human). They are widely regarded as one of the defining acts of modern melodic death metal.
