Brno Strings is a string octet made up of principal players from two leading Brno ensembles - the Janáček Opera and Filharmonie Brno. Several members also have long experience in chamber groups such as Czech Virtuosi, Čeští komorní sólisté, Kvarteto Incognita and Slovanské kvarteto. Since 2012 the octet has been the regular accompanying ensemble for singer-songwriter Lenka Filipová on her symphonic concert tours across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Brno Strings will perform with Lenka Filipová at Šimák Castle in Pezinok (23. 8.) and at Château Gbeľany (24. 8.) in Slovakia.
The octet accompanies Lenka Filipová on the Symphonic - Řeka života tour, which will visit Třeboň, Brno and Jindřichův Hradec in May 2026.
In November 2025, Brno Strings accompanied Lenka Filipová at a Symphonic concert at Sono Centro in Brno.
In August 2024, the ensemble performed with Lenka Filipová at Museum Kampa in Prague as part of the Řeka života program.
