Becka McFadden is a British-American performer and choreographer based in Prague, and the founder and artistic director of Beautiful Confusion Collective, active since 2004. Her work sits at the crossroads of dance, theatre and live art, with solo pieces that weave personal narrative together with queer theory. In 2023 she received the Czech Thalia Award in the Alternative Theatre category for her solo Black Dress.
The magazine Sport in Art published an interview with Becka McFadden about the new production Iconic Program, in which figure skating is transferred to the theatrical stage.
The production Iconic Program (Iconic Ride) was presented at the Malá inventura festival in Prague in co-production with Industra Stage and Venus in Švehlovka.
The premiere of Iconic Program took place in November 2025 at Industře in Brno; the production was created, among other things, on the occasion of the 2026 World Figure Skating Championships in Prague.
Black Dress returned to Prague Fringe 2025 (May 29-31, Inspirace Theatre), twenty years after the debut of Beautiful Confusion at this festival.
