A theatrical production based on the work of Czech writer Arnošt Lustig, commemorating the centenary of his birth.
Arnošt Lustig (1926–2011) was a Czech writer, journalist and screenwriter whose work is rooted in his experience as a Holocaust survivor. He passed through the Terezín ghetto, Auschwitz and Buchenwald, and those experiences shaped novels and novellas such as Diamonds of the Night, A Prayer for Katerina Horovitzova and Dita Saxova. He spent part of his life in exile in the United States, teaching at American University in Washington, D.C.
