4th Armored Division

The 4th Armored Division was a U.S. Army armored division that distinguished itself in World War II through rapid armored advances across Western Europe. In May 1945, its units liberated parts of southwestern Bohemia, including the Písek region. A memorial to the division stands in Písek to this day.

An 81st anniversary celebration of the Písek region's liberation by the US Army, featuring historical military vehicles, solemn ceremonies, and a historic convoy parade. The climax is Saturday, May 16 in Lidmovice.
