Film Melodies of the World and Czech Cinema
A quintet performs fresh arrangements of beloved film themes from world cinema and Czech classics in a historic Renaissance hall.
The Sbor českých bratří is a Renaissance pseudo-basilica built between 1544 and 1554 by Italian architect Matteo Borgorelli for the local Bohemian Brethren congregation. It ranks among the oldest buildings of this type outside Italy and reflects the era when Mladá Boleslav was a centre of the Brethren's Reformation. Today the building serves as an exhibition and concert hall with exceptional acoustics; it closes during the winter months for climate reasons.
Českobratrské náměstí 123, 293 01 Mladá Boleslav
Opening hours follow the event and exhibition programme; closed in winter (approx. mid-December - mid-March)
